Chicago

Old painted advertisement for L. Fish Furniture at 73rd and Halsted

Chicago. The Windy City. City of the Big Shoulders. Its motto is Urbs In Horto (City in a Garden), though our famous columnist Mike Royko once noted that it ought be changed to Ubi Es Mea (Whereߣs Mine?). It’s a city of world-famous architecture, and a city where the residents put out ratty old kitchen chairs to reserve their parking spots on snowy days. Love it, hate it, you cannot remain indifferent to Chicago. I invite you to come along with me on some of my peregrinations around the city.
